This Portland area cottage was overgrown and untamed when we arrived on site. The homeowners envisioned a native landscape that could offer major curb-appeal, entertaining space, and storage solutions. We designed a space that reflected their unique style with quirky, unexpected material elements from driftwood gate handles to rusted steel siding on their new studio. Their backyard captures the stormwater in a beautiful rain garden surrounded by lush plantings to attract birds. Stone pathways and a paver patio frame the space and offer open areas for gathering with friends.
